Getting Started
There are two sources for coupons this site uses, the Sunday paper and web coupons. To start couponing you will need to collect the “coupon books” from the Sunday paper. The books are pictured to the right. They are P & G Saver, SmartSource and Red Plum. You can clip your coupons and save them by category or you can do what we do and write the date of the Sunday paper they came in on the cover and save by the date. When looking for cited coupons be sure to look carefully many coupons have more than one product featured. And many times coupons list products that are not pictured, so again look carefully.
When you log into the store lists you will find a column entitled “Coupon Source”. This column will indicate which coupon book you will find the coupon to match to the current sale.
The following is the legend for abbreviations used:
PG 6/10 - P & G Saver plus the date of the Sunday paper
SS 6/10 - SmartSource, plus the date of the Sunday paper
RP 6/10 - Red Plum, plus the date of the Sunday paper
SW AD- Coupons found in Safeway ad
ALB AD - Coupons found in Albertsons ad
RA AD- Coupon found in Rite Aid ad
FM AD-Coupons found in Fred Meyer ad
WG AD - Coupons found in Walgreen ad
QFC AD - Coupons found in QFC ad
TF AD - Coupons found in Top Foods ad
Other abbreviations used:
B1G1F - Buy one get one free.
B2G2F - Buy two get two free, etc
B1G1 50% off - Buy one get one 50% off.
The follow is an example of the list.
The lists can be easily sorted by category, product and etc. For example you can sort by price and learn which items are for sale for $1.00 or less.
Or if you want to find organic items. Type in organic in search box and all organic items will be sorted out.
Web Coupons
When web coupons area available for a specific product a link will be found in the column entitled Web Coupon. Links are also clickable in the print version of your personalized grocery list.
Downloading coupons to store cards
Safeway and QFC both feature sites where you can download coupons directly to your store card.
You will need to register with each site and link your store card.
The featured sites are:

PGeSaver.com
Shortcuts.com
When any of the coupons match sales, you will find a link to the site in the web coupon column.

Ads are published at the latest by 8:00am the day after ad hits.
Shopping Tips
When creating your lists carefully compare sizes with the price. Items may be the same price at more then one store but be of a different size. We will describe items in the same terms on all lists. For example some stores describe ice cream in quarts others in ounces such as 1.5qt at one store and an other store will describe it as 48 ounces.
Always bring your store ads with you to the store. Shelved items at times do not match the sale price or ring up with the right price. Always watch the display for accruacy and double check your reciept. At time we notice an ad will have the same item in two places in the ad with two different price. Ask for the lower price.
